River City Brewing Co

River City Brewing Co. is a brewpub in Wichita’s historic Old Town. It opened in March 1993 as the city’s first brewpub, and it says only two other breweries had opened in Kansas in the more than 50 years before it. Fresh food and a relaxed atmosphere have been central to the business since it opened. The owners chose Old Town because it reflects Wichita’s heritage and supports the renewal of the state’s brewing legacy. The district’s cobblestone streets, heavy timber beams and historic buildings create a classic Midwest brewpub setting, and the brewpub’s building has a long history of its own. The kitchen makes food from scratch with local ingredients, including Kansas-raised beef, and the bar serves house beers and cocktails. River City also has a location at the Wichita airport and a private event venue. During the holidays it runs a themed pop-up called Miracle on Mosley Street.
