Hopping Gnome Brewing Company

Hopping Gnome Brewing Company is a locally owned microbrewery in Wichita’s Douglas Design District, opened in 2015 by Torrey and Stacy Lattin. Torrey started homebrewing in 2010 and won competition awards before going pro, and Stacy has said Hopping Gnome was the first Wichita taproom to pour beer without running a kitchen. Brewing still happens in the original building, but since 2023 guests gather in a larger taproom just across the back alley. It has a 16-tap bar, a covered patio that is enclosed and heated in colder months, and a turf yard with picnic tables and lawn games. The lineup pairs regular ales and lagers with rotating seasonals, a gluten-free hard seltzer and wine by the glass. There is no in-house food; food trucks visit, outside food is welcome, and cans, crowlers and growler fills go home.
