Redbud Brewing

Redbud Brewing is a craft brewery in downtown Augusta that opened in 2024 and brews its own handcrafted recipes. It describes its aim as combining craftsmanship and community, making beer that reflects the spirit of Augusta and adds to the growth of its downtown. The brewery occupies a building constructed in 1906. According to the Library of Congress, the building held the offices of The Augusta Gazette, one of the town’s earliest newspapers, in 1918 and 1919. In the winter of 1983, when it was a china and gift shop, it survived a fire that started two doors away. In the cold, the damaged buildings were coated in a thick layer of ice. Since then the building has been an early childhood school, a bistro and bakery, and a record store. Food comes from a partner cafe, and the taproom runs weekly events such as game nights.
