Park Bench Brewing Co

Park Bench Brewing Co. is a family-owned brewery in historic downtown Augusta’s Red Brick District. In 2021, Adam and Julie Kraft left Florida and returned home to Kansas to open it. Adam retired after 25 years in law enforcement and still serves in the U.S. Coast Guard. Julie handles day-to-day operations, drawing on her experience in finance, county government and medical contracting. With help from their three daughters, the Krafts are bringing the historic Winchester building back to life as a welcoming gathering place. They describe the brewery as somewhere to share stories and make memories. It draws visitors from Augusta and nearby towns such as Wichita, Andover and El Dorado. The beer is brewed on site and includes German-inspired styles as well as light and dark beers. The taproom serves food, runs specials and hosts events.
