The Leprechaun’s Lab

The Leprechaun’s Lab is a small brewery owned by Patrick and Kaycee Root. Patrick is the owner, head brewer and self-described mascot, and he enjoys every stage of the work, from picking a recipe to watching guests drink the result. His beers have earned awards at competitions including the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, the North American Beer Awards in Idaho Falls and the World Beer Cup. Kaycee, a University of Wyoming marketing graduate who teaches by day, handles marketing, paperwork and events. Because the brewhouse is small and beer turns over fast, there are no dedicated flagship taps. Recent pours have included a nitro s’mores stout, a California common, a lager brewed with Lucky Charms, a pumpkin beer, a Märzen, an American IPA and a brown ale made with an award-winning homebrewer. The Lab also serves cocktails and hosts trivia nights and other events.
