Lawrence Beer Co. West

Lawrence Beer Co. West is the west Lawrence location of Lawrence Beer Company, a local brewery and restaurant. The founders had visited many breweries and found that their favorites shared a few traits: quality and attention to detail, a community focus, creativity and personality, and room for neighbors to gather with strollers, bikes and friends. They set out to build that kind of community gathering spot in their own city. They describe their goal as making quality, fresh beer and food for the people who live there, not pursuing large-scale growth. Staying community-based rather than distributing widely lets them experiment with different styles and small-batch releases and keeps the beer fresh. The company credits strong support from family, friends and the city. Its motto is Down the Street, Up Your Alley. Lawrence Beer Co. also has a kids’ menu, sells kegs, caters and offers lodging.
