Strawberry Hill Brewing Company

Strawberry Hill Brewing Company is a brewery in the Strawberry Hill neighborhood of Kansas City, Kansas, owned by Ben Murray, Larry Murray, Philip Kuzila and Joe Collins, who all grew up in KCK. In the early 2010s Larry bought a house across from a friend who belonged to the homebrewing group that led to the brewery, and the other co-owners later moved into the house. Their first kit beer turned out badly, but an all-grain batch went well, and they soon began writing their own recipes. Strong reactions at the 2019 Nano Brewfest, held in Berkley Riverfront Park, convinced them to turn the hobby into a business. Getting open took more than 10 years. The brewery’s beers have included a Märzen and a saison called Sunflower Statezon, a nod to Larry’s early 1900s farmhouse kitchen where they first brewed.
