Range 23 Brewing

Range 23 Brewing is a firefighter-owned, mom-and-pop family brewery in Bonner Springs run by Karen, Nate and their family. After arriving in the area in 2016, they found good neighbors but few local craft breweries, coffee shops or restaurants. Since Nate had several years of homebrewing behind him, they decided to bring a brewery to the community. Range 23 began in 2020 as what it calls the smallest brewery in Kansas, selling 16-ounce cans to go from a 300-square-foot brewery in a rustic event space on a 40-acre horse ranch. It later expanded production and opened a taproom in historic downtown Bonner Springs. The brewery makes small-batch classic ales and lagers, from a porter and a Kölsch to IPAs, stouts and a Mexican lager. Its range also covers hard apple drinks and non-alcoholic ginger beer and sodas, part of its aim to run an inclusive brewery.
